What does NightCheck test for?
GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate), one of the drugs most often linked to drink spiking. It does not test for alcohol, ketamine, benzodiazepines or any other drug.
How do I read the result?
Look at the yellow motif after the drop touches it. If it stays yellow, no GHB was found. If it turns green, GHB was detected. In a dark bar, use the free pocket light so you can see the color clearly.
How long does it take?
Under a minute. Read the color within a minute of the drop touching the motif.
Can I use one sticker more than once?
No. Each sticker is one test. Once a drop has touched it, peel it off and stick on a fresh one for your next drink.
Which drinks can I test?
Most drinks you order on a night out: spirits with mixers, wine, beer, cocktails and soft drinks. Milky or creamy drinks, very acidic drinks and dark red drinks can make the color harder to read.
If it stays yellow, is my drink safe?
Not necessarily. NightCheck only looks for GHB, and no test catches everything. Keep your drink with you, trust how you feel and look out for your friends.
What should I do if it turns green?
Stop drinking it and keep the glass if you can. Tell a friend and the venue staff right away. If you or anyone else feels unwell, call your local emergency number.
Can I wear it over nail polish?
Yes. It sits on a bare nail or over polish and peels off when you're done. Press it onto a clean, dry nail so it stays flat.
