A complete wizarding-school keycap set for anyone who already owns a mechanical keyboard and is tired of the one surface they touch all day being corporate-black and blank.

Five-sided dye-sublimated PBT: the artwork sits on the top and the side walls of the caps, and because it's dye-sublimated the colour is in the plastic rather than printed on top of it - there's no ink layer to go shiny or rub off.

Illustrated, not costume-y: owls, old keys, chess pieces, potion bottles and pointed hats in muted cream, black and deep burgundy - the wizarding world rather than the team jersey.

Material: PBT (not ABS) - matte, slightly textured, thicker-feeling than stock caps.
Printing: five-sided heat dye-sublimation - top and side legends.
Profile: OEM - row-sculpted, so each row sits at a different height and angle. Caps must be matched row by row.
Mount: Cherry MX-style cross stem.

Will it fit? The 5-second check: pull one keycap off your board. If the socket underneath sits on a small plus/cross-shaped post, you're MX-compatible and these fit. If it's anything else, they won't.

Install: lift stock caps straight up with a wire keycap puller, then press each new cap straight down onto the stem until it clicks. Do the oversized keys - spacebar, Shift, Enter, Backspace - last, pressing evenly across the whole cap so the stabilisers seat. Fully reversible: your original caps refit at any time.

Not backlit: dye-sublimated PBT is opaque, so the legends are not shine-through for RGB.

This is a keycap set, not a keyboard. You need an existing MX mechanical keyboard.

Free shipping worldwide - in stock and dispatched now, no group buy and no pre-order wait.

30-day money back guarantee - if the set isn't right for your board or isn't your taste, return it within 30 days for a refund.

1 year warranty from Ventra™ covering manufacturing faults, including warped or misseated oversized keys.

Popped them on my 87-key board in about six minutes. Spacebar seated flat first try - that was the thing I was actually worried about.

I'd abandoned this purchase twice because I could never work out what would fit. Checked my stems were the little plus shape, ordered, done. Should have been this simple the first time.

Not a modder at all - I just wanted my board to look like something. Pulled caps off with the wire tool, pressed these on row by row, and nothing broke. Shift and Enter went on last and both sit level.

Bought it for my partner who'd never touched a keycap in his life. He did the whole board while we watched a film. No stabiliser drama on the spacebar.

This is a set of keycaps only - not a keyboard. Five-sided dye-sublimated PBT caps that press on by hand and come straight back off if you ever want your originals.

The question everyone asks first

Yes, it fits your keyboard - here's how to check in five seconds.

You do not need to know your profile, your layout, or your key count. You need to look at one thing underneath one keycap.

Do this now

The five-second stem check

  1. Pick any key on your keyboard - a letter key is easiest - and pull it straight up and off. Fingernails work; a puller is gentler.
  2. Look at the little post sticking up out of the switch underneath.
  3. If that post is a plus sign - a cross - you have a Cherry MX-style stem, and this set fits.

See a plus sign? You are compatible. That single cross shape is the whole test - everything else is just picking the variant that matches your layout.

  • Sculpted OEM profile. Every row sits at a different height and angle, tilted toward your fingers - so match the caps row by row as you go across the board.
  • Two variants available. Pick the one that matches the layout of the keyboard you already own before you check out.
  • Cross-stem (Cherry MX-style) sockets throughout, including the spacebar and the other oversized keys.

Please note: this is a set of KEYCAPS ONLY. It is not a keyboard. You are buying the caps that go on the mechanical keyboard you already own.

Same desk, same keyboard

You don't need a new keyboard. You need the top layer of it back.

One desk, one keyboard, photographed twice in the same light - before the caps came off, and after they went back on.

Same desk with wizarding keycaps installed on the keyboard After

No soldering. No new hardware. No software. You pull the old caps straight off and press the new ones straight on - and if you ever change your mind, the originals go right back where they were.

"My desk is nearly there, but the keyboard ruins it."

Why these hold up

The artwork isn't printed on top. It's dyed into the plastic.

This is the difference between a set you love for three months and one you keep on the board for years. Four things make it, and all four are visible under a macro lens.

Macro of a dye-sublimated keycap edge
Dye-sublimation

No ink layer to wear away

Heat drives the colour down into the plastic itself rather than laying it on the surface. There is no printed coat sitting on top of the cap, which means there is nothing for your fingertips to gradually polish off. The owl on your Escape key in year three looks the same as it did on day one.

Macro of matte PBT keycap surface texture
PBT, not ABS

Matte, grained, substantial

PBT is the thicker, denser plastic keyboard people go looking for by name. It stays matte instead of going glossy where your fingers rest, and it carries more weight under the hand.

Macro of artwork on the side wall of a keycap
Five-sided printing

Art on the walls, not just the tops

The illustration continues down the side walls of each cap, so the board still reads as one piece when you look at it from across the desk instead of straight down.

OEM sculpted profile

Rows that tilt toward your fingers

Not a flat, uniform-height novelty set. Each row is moulded at its own height and angle, the standard stepped shape your hands already know how to type on.

One honest note before you buy: dye-sublimated PBT is opaque. These legends are not shine-through, so if your RGB backlighting glowing up through the letters is a must-have for you, this is not the set for that.

Close-up of the spacebar and oversized keys seated flat on a mechanical keyboard
The key everyone worries about

The spacebar sits flat. Here it is, shot from the side.

"The space bar came a little bit warped and is pretty much unusable."

That line comes up more than any other complaint in this category, and there is a reason it is always the spacebar. Oversized keys do not sit on a single switch like your letter keys do - they ride on a stabiliser bar underneath, so a cap that is even slightly bowed will rock, bind, or refuse to seat at all.

That is why we shoot the spacebar from a low angle across the surface rather than from above. From directly overhead, every spacebar looks fine. From the side, a warped one is obvious in half a second - so that is the angle you get to judge on.

Oversized keys in the set
  • Spacebar
  • Left Shift
  • Right Shift
  • Enter
  • Backspace
  • Caps Lock
  • Tab
  • Ctrl
  • Alt

If anything arrives bowed, cracked or refusing to seat, that is on us: 30-day money back guarantee, 1 year warranty, and free shipping worldwide both ways of the conversation.

Went on my 87-key TKL without a single gap. I counted twice because I could not believe I got the right one first try.

It sounds different. Deeper, less rattly than the stock caps.

This is the first Harry Potter thing I have owned that a colleague complimented without knowing it was Harry Potter. It just reads as a nice illustrated keyboard until you look closely at the owl. That was exactly what I wanted.

Matte finish, no shine on the caps I use most after two months. The detail on the potion bottle key still looks crisp.

Took me about eight minutes. My original caps are in the drawer just in case, but they are not going back on.
